The Libby Prison Minstrels celebrate our veterans through songs, humors, and stories. So much of our historical American music is recognizable today as it spans many different conflicts and generations. We strive to keep our audiences engaged and entertained while learning about our country’s history. Our organization represents Union Officers that were POW’s in Richmond’s most famous prison during the American Civil War. Several officers in Libby Prison formed a band to entertain the weary, sick, and forsaken souls of their comrades. Today we are proud to honor their memory and grateful for their service to our country. Come join us in celebrating our country’s most valued treasure: OUR VETERANS.
