Ocean County Parks & Recreation recently issued the following announcement.
Create a Shorebird Flattie
Join us as Kevin Hammell, a local decoy carver, teaches you about the Barnegat Bay tradition as you carve and paint your own shorebird flattie to take home to grace your windowsill in your kitchen or bedroom. This program is great for Boy Scouts looking to complete their wood carving merit badge. Please bring $25.00 in exact change for the instructor and materials.
