U.S. Representatives Chris Smith, Claudia Tenney, and Michelle Fischbach are set to introduce new legislation aimed at protecting Pregnancy Care Centers nationwide. These centers provide a range of free services to support pregnant women and families, including pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, prenatal education, and parenting programs.
The press conference announcing the legislation will take place on Monday, March 24, at noon at the House Triangle in front of the U.S. Capitol. Additional representatives from pregnancy care centers and other pro-life advocates will also be present.
"Pregnancy care centers are community-based, nonprofit organizations that provide free support and resources to support the physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual needs of pregnant women," stated the announcement. The proposed legislation seeks to ensure these centers can continue offering alternatives to abortion through various supportive services.
Representatives Smith (NJ-04), Tenney (NY-24), and Fischbach (MN-07) will lead the event with additional comments expected from other pro-life leaders.
