Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ), Co-Chair of the House Pro-Life Caucus, issued a statement today on the second anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision.
“Dobbs marked a critical first opportunity to end the culture of death and to protect women and unborn children from the violence of abortion," said Smith. "It is an engraved invitation to policymakers at every level—including Congress and the President—to protect unborn children from violent death by dismemberment, decapitation, forced expulsion from the womb, deadly poisons, and other brutal methods."
Smith further commented on state laws regarding abortion: “Many states like my state of New Jersey have enacted extremist laws that legally sanction the killing of a baby for any reason whatsoever right up to the moment of birth.”
He concluded with a call to action: “The sacred burden to double down and work even harder to protect women and unborn children from the violence of abortion has never been clearer.”
