Benefits.
Farm markets provide an opportunity for the community to interact directly with the local producers of fruits, vegetables and herbs; this interaction not only creates a connection but helps buyers understand where their food comes from. In many cases, pop-up farm markets provide buyers the opportunity to shop local fresh produce right in their own community.
Quick facts for the 2022 season.
Benefits will begin June 25, 2022 and expire November 30, 2022
Farmers will be at various locations throughout Ocean and Monmouth county
Participants will receive (5) $5.00 checks for the season per eligible participant
Vouchers can be used to purchase locally grown, fresh NJ fruits, vegetables, and herbs
Checks can only be used at farm markets, they will not be accepted at grocery stores.
Only registered farm market vendors have the ability to accept checks (see a complete list of approved vendors below)
