Congressman Chris Smith (R-Manchester) appeared on New Jersey 101.5 FM with host Eric Scott to discuss his ongoing opposition to offshore wind towers. Smith raised concerns about the cost, efficiency, and environmental impact of these projects. He also noted potential risks to air and sea radar navigation systems used by planes, the U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, and fishing vessel captains.

Smith has represented New Jersey’s 4th district in Congress since 1981, succeeding Frank Thompson. Born in Rahway in 1953, Smith is now 70 years old and resides in Manchester Township. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from The College of New Jersey in 1975.
