On Sunday, Feb. 16, former Point Pleasant Beach High School standout Bryan Matuschat’s current college team, the Sacred Heart Pioneers, lost 8-0 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the South Carolina Gamecocks.
The game took place at Founders Park. This was their third matchup against the Gamecocks this season.
The Pioneers’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 21 at 3 p.m. at Capital One Park against Georgetown Hoyas.
