In the week ending Feb. 21, two gas stations in Ocean County sold diesel gas at the lowest reported price of $3.49 per gallon, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
Reported prices for diesel gas in Ocean County averaged $3.95 per gallon.
Ocean County had 70 of 142 reported gas stations offering diesel gas.
The average reported price for a gallon of diesel gas in New Jersey was $3.90, up from the previous week.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
